Air pollution is a serious threat to human health, yet pollutants are often invisible to the naked eye. How, then, can their presence be detected? One method is to use plants as indicators. This set shows injuries done by pollution to indicator plants. The effect these pollutants have on these plants can tell biologists how badly the air is polluted and what pollutants caused the injury. A great pre-field trip lab. Combine with Air Pollution and Human Health (79703-89 ) for a complete air pollution lab. The set features one strip of eight images. Also included is a key to image descriptions.
