| This has been one of the best birthday gifts for my boys,10 and 6.They wake every morning excited to see what the ants have done, asking many intriguing questions,we also mark/date the new trails to see how productive the ants are everyday and has been a Life saver for me since I no longer have to convince them to get out of bed.My biggest fear was the boys letting the ants out but so far they have not wanted to disturb the ant colony. I would definitely recommend this for school age children or miss at heart...they are very interesting to watch. |

| We gave this to our two boys, ages 4 and 2 for Christmas. They absolutely love it and so do we. The ants are fascinating to watch how they work. Every morning my kids check the ant habitat to see what new tunnels have been made. The hardest part was working up the courage to open the vial of ants and dump them into the habitat... thankfully most of them were still groggy from being mailed on ice. My only fear is that the 2-year old might somehow knock over the habitat and break it, leaving us with ants everywhere. We're pretty good about keeping it up high when the kids aren't observing it, but boys can be sneaky! In two days the ants have created 6 tunnels. We can't wait to see what they'll do next. A great learning opportunity for kids and parents alike, as well as lots of fun. GREAT GIFT IDEA! Even my 7-year old niece is fascinated by it and has requested one for her birthday. |
