A Science Kit Exclusive product from Kurt Mead. The Aqua Slide is a simple microprojection tool that utilizes any common slide projector to project the images of small aquatic creatures onto screens or white walls. Magnifications of greater than 60x are easily achieved and can be viewed by many people at once. Creatures to be viewed are kept &"captive&" in the Viewing-Well of the slide. This means that they cannot swim away from your field of vision! Small aquatic creatures should have no trouble surviving 1/2 hour or more. The slide is designed to withstand the intense conditions which occur inside of the slide projector: namely, lots of heat. The reflective side of the slide faces the bulb and is thereby able to reflect away much of the excess heat from the bulb. The Aqua Slide is especially convenient for homeschoolers and K-6.
