ScholAR Spectrophotometric Analysis using Beer’s Lab Activity
|
Product Information
Aligned with AP Chemistry Lab #17With your spectrophotometer and the materials provided in this lab activity, students can demonstrate Beer-Lambert’s Law, which states that the amount of light a solution absorbs can be calculated using the molar absorptivity, the length of the light path, and the concentration. In this experiment, which can be completed in one hour, students prepare five solutions containing iron in different concentrations. Using a colorimetric reagent for iron, they can determine the concentration of each empirically. The kit comes with enough materials for 15 setups. A spectrophotometer, required, is available separately. Note: Additional shipping fee required. Chemical Contents:Copper Sulfate Solution Additional Materials Required: Spectrophotometer
