Monitor the growth and behavior of plants, animals or cultures with this attractive chamber, which offers a controlled environment for the study of photosynthesis, hydroponics and other topics in biology, ecology, earth science and environmental science.

You can operate the lights, heater strip and fan manually, program them to turn on and off with the 24-hour timer, or set them to function based on the air, water or soil temperature using the thermostat. Two sliding glass doors provide easy access to experiments, and each of the four interior trays (which sit on an adjustable shelf) may be removed without disturbing other trays.

The watertight, rustproof removable bottom tray holds freshwater or saltwater experiments, and has a drain for easy cleanup. All controls are clearly identified on the front panel, and have pilot lights to indicate whether they are on or off. A baked enamel finish (both inside and out) protects the steel walls from damage, and the supplied blackout panel lets you conduct experiments that require total darkness. Maximum temperature is approximately 15°C above the ambient temperature. This unit operates on 120V, AC, 60 Hz, 800W. (Please note: Fluorescent and incandescent lamps are required but not included.
