Product InformationOne of the most common protozoans, Paramecium are usually found in water rich in decaying organic matter such as stagnant pools or sewage resevoirs. It is also easy to culture, making it a convenient subject for microbiology studies. The included Alzarin Red stain can be used to increase the contrast and thereby the visibility of certain organelles. In addition, the instructions include a suggested experiment for the study of galvanotropism, which looks at a Paramecium’s reaction to an electric current.
