Product Information

This study kit doesn’t require a lot of dough — or media cooking, dispensing, or sterile techniques. Students culture common molds on pieces of bread in transparent culture jars, such as Penicillium, Aspergillus, Rhizopus and Mucor. Using a special dichotomous key, they then work to identify cultured forms. Includes materials for 15 student groups, comprehensive teacher’s guide and student copymasters. Note: activity requires 2 week lead time.
