Center of Gravity Paradox
|
Product Information
Sometimes finding the center of gravity can be a paradox. In this demonstration, a four-foot rod is loaded with a lead weight toward one end. Try to balance the rod with the weighted end down. It can't be done. But turn the rod over and it is easy to balance on just a fingertip. Why? It's a paradox! (but luckily an explanation can be found in the teacher's guide). This fun puzzle is sure to be a hit with students.
