Product Information Nitrite, an intermediate in the nitrogen cycle, is formed during the decomposition of organic matter but readily oxidizes to form nitrate. Nitrites are useful as corrosion inhibitors, preservatives and more. Using the colorimetric method, nitrite reacts to a pink dye. The intensity of the color is directly proportional to the concentration of nitrite in the sample. Approx. analysis time 11 minutes. Range 0–20 and 20–100 ppm.  Tell a Friend about this item
