Bring a real-world application of biotechnology into your lab with our complete fermentation system. It includes everything you need to make and test real products made through the action of microbes, such as antibiotics, insecticides, and enzymes. The fermentation vessel is transparent and made of strong, autoclavable borosilicate glass, so your students can view the entire process as it occurs. The vessel comes with a noncorrosive thermoplastic headplate, magnetically coupled agitation shaft that incorporates mixing impellers, inlet air sparger with inlet air filter, exhaust air outlet, three liquid addition tube assemblies, thermometer, thermometer well, and sample tube. In addition, the system includes an air pump, tubing, connectors, immersion heater, and air flow valve, as well as a magnetic stirring unit with built-in pH meter and probe, and a large, bright display. The meter constantly monitors changes in the fermenting sample. It also comes with our Fermentation Manual for comprehensive information on the fermentation process, operating instructions, and lab activities. Fermenter capacity: 750 mL.
