|
Product Information
In this lab students demonstrate the law of Conservation of Mass by performing a series of chemical reactions on a given amount of copper wire. After stepping through various reactions, students quantify the end product to determine if it is equal, or nearly equal, to the starting mass. Developed by Lisa Water. Grades 9–12. Includes: copper wire, 500mL 6M hydrochloric acid, 100g magnesium turnings, 15.8mL nitric acid concentrate, 500mL NaOH, instructions.
