Corner Cube Reflector
|
Product Information
Corner cube reflectors have been used on the moon to measure the distance from the Earth. Now you can use one in your classroom to teach principles of light and reflection, calculate the distance between the reflector and the light source, or simply show students a virtual (versus mirror) image of themselves. The reflector features three front-surfaced triangular mirrors mounted at right angles to one another on a hardwood base. Because of the configuration, light beams hitting any of the mirrors from any angle are bounced off the other two mirrors and reflected back in the same direction they came from. Developed by Bruce Yeany. Grades 7-12. Includes: instructions..
