Easy Density Discovery

The packaging of the density set makes set-up and clean-up easy. Students discover that density does not depend on the size of the sample, but is constant for a specific type of material. The materials can be mixed into empty tubes that come with the kit. This can be used as an assessment. Students will be able to demonstrate an understanding that density is mass per volume by measuring the unknowns and calculating density. Students will be able to read density graphs to identify the unknown substances.
