Product Information

Appropriate for Grades 9-12
Students will first build a primitive compass that will concretely expose the difference between geographic north and magnetic north. Next, they will use a PASCO magnetic field sensor to model the Earth's magnetic field using a bar magnet. This activity can be completed in 2 50-minute lab sessions.
Includes instructions. Requires 2 sensors and 1 USB Link or 1 Xplorer Datalogger for each group of students. If your computer does not have 2 USB ports, then you will need a USB 4-Port Hub.
