Product Information

Students perform a series of experiments to examine the effects of chemicals on plant life, and learn how a plant’s age may determine its reaction to specific pollutants. In documenting the response to various environmental stresses, students gain a hands-on understanding of ecosystems, study the consequences of groundwater contamination and acid rain, and identify the nature of mystery substances.

Our hands-on, teacher-friendly kit features radish plants with a 35 day life cycle. The large seeds are easy to handle, and our flexible activity kit has a modular design that lets middle school students follow the basic experiments while high school students pursue more advanced studies. Kit contains materials for up to 40 students.

Includes materials for 10 student groups.

Large, hardy Rapid Radish seeds
Self-watering unit and planting trays
Medium, fertilizer, and natural bristle brushes for hand-pollinating, labels, and all other necessary materials
Comprehensive teacher’s guide and student guide with activites
