Product Information
Students see how electrical energy is converted to mechanical energy.A winch powered by a small electric motor raises loads of different masses to heights up to two meters. Electrical input is measured with an ammeter - voltmeter. Work is calculated from the mass of washers and the distance they are raised. The assembled apparatus consists of the small electric motor, the winch, a length of nylon thread, and hook-up wires. An extra length of wire with an alligator clip, steel washers, a length of nichrome wire, and instructions are also included.
