Product Information Preferred by the military for its precision, durability, and accuracy, this compass is designed to take extremely accurate bearings for directing artillery fire. This exceptional little device is shock-resistant and it can be used to locate terrain features or to follow a course over the ground. It consists of the compass card with housing, the degree scale and rotating bezel, the sighting-wire top cover, a thumb hook for holding the compass steady, and a lens with a dial graduated in 0–360° in 5° increments and 6,400mils in 20mil increments. The compass will work with USGS topographical maps, so you can use it for orienteering, however, you’ll need a protrator to do so. Includes detailed instructions. Compass is not waterproof.
