The activities in this book are designed to provide students with &"hands-on&" situations where they will actually place tangram pieces on models of shapes and record the fractional number. In addition to working with the manipulative models of fractions as congruent regions (tangram pieces) students will gain insights and practice with the concept of fractional equivalence.
