Product Information
Here's a clever, safe and easy way to demonstrate endothermic and exothermic reactions so the whole class can see. It's done with an ingenious set-up of two common chemical reactions, a non-mercury thermometer and your overhead projector. Students can easily see the projected image of the red fluid in the thermometer rise and fall as the reactions take place around it. Developed by Science Kit product developer Lisa Walter. Includes: thermometer, 2 micro-solution bottles, glycerin, stopper, marker, acetate sheets, ammonium thiocyanate, barium hydroxide, magnesium turnings and instructions. An overhead projector is also required.
