Effectively demonstrate solar energy and energy conversion with this kit. Focused by a concave mirror, the rays of the sun (or a clamp light with a 100 watt bulb) heat the water in a test tube secured by the three rods protruding from the mirror. The rise in temperature is measured with a thermometer. The experiment can be repeated with the mirror covered.
Includes: focusing mirror, base with adjustable stand, glass bottle with stopper, cardboard cover, instructions. Required but not included: large ruler, narrow thermometer.
