Two electrons are sitting on a bench. A third comes by and asks, "Can I sit with you?" To which they reply, "Don't be ridiculous, we aren't Bosons!"
Get students excited about electron configuration and quantum numbers (it's certain they will!), with this game modeled after the classic chutes/snakes and ladders game.
Students enter the Hotel Electron where Don and Tron (the Twin Spin Electron Twins) guide them to energy elevators or - if directed to do so by a De-Energizer (it doesn't keep going and going...) card, they fall down a drain pipe or chute.
To advance to the highest energy level (and win the game) students must correctly answer questions concerning electron theory. Developed by David Williams. Grades 7-12.
