Product Information
Appropriate for Grades K+ These Compound Insect Eye simulation glasses give you a bugs-eye view!Insects have a pair of compound eyes in addition to two or more simple eyes. These compound eyes are made up of hexagonal facets (from 6 to 20,000) that enable the insect to see multiple images of a viewing area. It is of course impossible (at least at this time) to actually &"see&" the way an insect sees. To do so not only would we need bug eyes, we would also need bug brains! Your students can see the world through an insect eye by using these simulated compound eyes designed by Connecticut middle school teacher Allen Kiertz. Let them try to perform simple activities such as reading, and test their peripheral vision and reflexes while wearing the compound eye simulation glasses. They'll discover the advantages of viewing the world as a bug! Includes one pair of glasses and complete instructions.
