Engage student creativity with this unique genetics project. Through designing, creating, and testing a series of paper frogs for three populations studies, you can introduce concepts of phenotype and genotype, mutation, and natural selection. Students utilize their paper frogs in a series of tasks and that represent feeding and predation. Developed by Bill Hodges, this activity can be adapted for use in early life science and more advanced high school biology classrooms. Activity is aligned with National Education Standards. Includes instructions. Grades 7–10.
