Teacher Lynn Wartski created this great manipulative that lets students fill in the s, p, d and f shells for any given element in clear, sequential order.
Students follow three simple steps as they place hex nuts representing an element's atomic number onto the specially designed pegboard.
When all the nuts have been properly placed, students can visualize and interpret the proper electron configuration.
Includes: configurator board, hex nuts with storage containers, and instructions. Grades 9-11.
