|
Product Information
In this innovative lab, developed by Teacher Jennifer Landis, students find the mass of 20 different “atoms” that represent various isotopes of a fictitious element. The students determine how the isotopes differ from one another, learn what the terms atomic mass and atomic number mean, and calculate the average atomic mass of the element. Includes materials for 15 student groups and instructions. Balances are required but not included. Grades 7–11.
