Using the five E’s of inquiry — engage, explore, elaborate, explain, and evaluate — this exploration enables students to apply what they learn about levers to the anatomy of the human body. Address aspects of the human lever systems important in movement, including the interaction of muscles, tendons and bones. The experiment provides students with a scientific basis for understanding how levers are applied to the human body.
