Home > Labware & Furniture > Silkworm Eggs, Live
|
Product Information
Bombyx mori. When hatched, the small, gray 2 1/2&" larvae are the traditional source for high-quality silk. Over thousands of years of domestication and selective breeding the modern silkworm has lost its ability to fly. Eggs, each roughly the size of a pinhead, come glued onto a petri dish. They can remain refrigerated for up to a year, allowing for easy storage and access. Eggs will hatch in 10–14 days if kept at 75–85°F. Care instructions and 1/2 pound of silkworm diet included. Package of 50.
