Students explore blood typing and antibody-antigen reactions with simulated blood.Two experiments are possible: students determine which one of four donors could safely give blood to a particular patient, and they develop a case history of a mother and her offspring to determine the safety of her pregnancy.
Students will learn about identifying antigen-antibody reactions, how such reactions affect the body's immune response, as well as the basics of ABO and Rh blood typing.
