Impulse Reaction Platform Lab
|
Product Information
Developed by teacher Lowell Sylwester, this platform allows students to repeatedly apply forces to balls of different masses and simultaneously predict, observe, and take measurements of the results. Students will clearly see how differences in impulses produce differences in reactions, and they can use their results to determine conservation of momentum and energy. The platform can also be used for projectile motion. Because the platform is suspended, any frictional effects are minimized. Requires ring stand and rods, right-angle clamp and horizontal bar, all sold separately. Includes instructions and materials for seven student groups. Grades 10–11.
