|
Product Information
Use this one pound zinc ball as either a pendulum bob or as an inexpensive inertia lab. Simply screw in one of the three included eyebolts and attach a string to use as a bob; use both eyebolts to perform an intriguing lab that demonstrates Newton's First Law of Motion. The third is used for a safety line to prevent the ball from falling to the ground.
Suspend the ball from the ceiling or overhead rod using a lighweight string attached to the top eyehook. Attach another piece of the same string to the other eyehook and let hang. Pull down quickly and vigorously on the lower string and watch what happens. Replace the broken string and repeat, pulling down gently. What happens this time explains much about inertia. Includes instructions.
WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD - This product is a small ball. Not for children under 3 yrs.
