Product Information

Using methods to initiate primary cell cultures from fresh embryonic tissue, students acquaint themselves with growing cells in vitro, handling tissue cultures, and observing patterns of cell growth, rates of growth, general appearance, and distinguishing characteristics. Kit can be completed in two one-hour lab sessions and includes everything required except for an incubator, stereomicroscope, and viable chick eggs. Each kit includes materials for five student groups, a teacher’s guide, and student copymaster.
