Seven hands-on activities set up as multiple lab stations offer students a fun, hands-on opportunity to explore the characteristics of waves and sound. Involve the entire class in an exploration of the difference between transverse and longitudinal waves, sound interference, the doppler effect, and more. Students will also simulate a wave tank and see how the tension and thickness of a string affects its tone. Everything you need for the experiments, outside of common lab materials, is included along with a teacher and student guide. Materials supplied are clay, stopwatches, sound apparatus kits, corks, telescoping tubes, acrylic tube, tuning fork, demonstration spring, and large slinky „ all supplied with a convenient storage bin.
