Highlight mechanical principles and relate them to the real-world as your students work in groups to build various simple machines. The included activity cards contain plans for 60 models, and the 3,400+ pieces allow multiple machines to be built simultaneously.

The cards also include discovery-based, problem solving challenges for students to discover how their machines work. Reference cards explain the basic concepts behind each machine function and contain the formulas for calculating mechanical advantage.

After students have built their own models, they will work together to build a 4′ tall complex machine called the Big Ball Factory.

The kit also comes with a 12 V motor pack and an Educator Guide with 57 lesson plans.
