Teach problem-solving, mathematical analysis, and engineering design skills with this 1430-piece set that builds up to nine motor-operated airplane, parachute and aeronautical models. After testing their original prototypes through data collection and analysis, students can then modify them to improve efficiency according to scientific theories of energy and motion. Developed for students at the middle school level, and in partnership with world-renowned aerospace training facility the National AeroSpace Training and Research Center (NASTAR), this complete activity set supports three groups of students working in groups of two or three. Contains easy-to-follow building instructions, student worksheets, and a comprehensive teacher's guide with a series of nine lessons. Motor is also included.
