In this lab students work with illustrated “specimen” cards and two types of dichotomous keys (an indented and non-indented numerical version).
They identify each specimen to an imaginary genus and species and some to a variety. Students then draw two of their own specimens based on descriptions in the key. Stimulating, challenging and fun. Grades 7-12.
