Product Information
A great manipulative for teaching about human chromosomes developed by California biology teacher Larry Hiday.
Place the chromosome spread on a magnetic blackboard, then line the homologous pairs in order of length and banding. You then have a human karotype large enough for the entire class to see. Down's Syndrome, Klinefelter's Disease and Turner's Syndrome can be demonstrated.
Additional issues that can be covered include the different genetic makeups of males and females and genetic abnormalities. Kit can be used as a demo or as an individual manipulative used for alternative assessment.
Includes: the human karotype form, magnetic adhesive and complete
instructions.
