Discover the importance of a balanced mineral diet for plants with this kit, which illustrates the effects of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium deficiencies. Students will see the synergistic qualities of various nutrients, and learn how fertilizers influence plant growth. In addition, students gain an understanding of how plant nutrition impacts human nutrition, then study hydroponics to determine the value of soil.

Our hands-on, teacher-friendly kit features radish plants with a 35 day life cycle. The large seeds are easy to handle, and our flexible activity kit has a modular design that lets middle school students follow the basic experiments while high school students pursue more advanced studies. Kit contains materials for 10 student groups.

Large, hardy Rapid Radish seeds
Self-watering unit and planting trays
Medium, fertilizer, and natural bristle brushes for hand-pollinating, labels, and all other necessary materials
