The purpose of this kit is to help students separate mixtures based on density differences. This set includes a mixture of four different polymers in the form of small pellets. The different polymers have different densities that provide for a method of separation by floatation. The different colors make it evident at a glance that the separation has been accomplished. The materials are reusable and small plastic cups are furnished to facilitate the return of the separated mixture. Plastic spoons are also included for use if different labware is not available. Instructions included for 12 student groups.
