For efficiency and ease of use in multiple applications, the DS-2 is a valuable addition to your classroom or laboratory. This Digital MonoScope will give you the versatility of use with either Microsoft or Macintosh computers. Once connected to the computer, the DS-2, with a built-in digital imaging chip, will transmit live streaming images at a resolution of 640x480 pixels. With a built-in rechargeable LED illumination system mounted on a flexible gooseneck, the DS-2 provides the proper amount of light at any angle for any object - bugs, minerals or plants - while remaining completely portable. An included 2x auxiliary lens brings the maximum magnification up to 40X for even closer study of specimens. The included Motic Application software also allows you to capture still, time-lapse, and video images as well as complete editing, filtering, and measuring functions. Compatible with Windows XP, Vista, 7, and Mac OSX, including Leopard.
