Product Information
Take your students on simulated fieldtrips to five continents to collect geological and biological evidence during three different time periods.Your class will analyze the fossil data to reconstruct the continents of Africa, India, South America, Australia and Antarctica into the so-called Gondwanaland.
The maps are color-coded for four time periods (300 million, 200 million and 100 million years ago and today) and feature illustrations of fossils, glacial grooves, plants and dinosaurs.
Your students can cut the maps apart and manipulate the pieces to achieve a basic knowledge of how the continents have changed over time. This kit is recommended for students in grades 6-12.
Includes: eight posters (with four maps each) and a teacher’s guide with reproducible student study sheets.
