Product Information

Enlarged approximately 2500X, this model shows the structures that combine to form the functional neuron. The durable, molded plastic model is designed in two sections: the perikaryon cut open to expose the nucleus of the cell, neurite cone, dendrites and flexible synaptic terminals; and the peripheral nerve with sheaths, including the Schwann cell with nucleus, the Schwann sheath, the neuraxon and mitochondria. In all, there are 14 keyed structures.

Includes a booklet with a key and short explanations, written in four languages (English, Spanish, German, and French). The booklet can be stored in a handy pocket on the base. Size: 40 x 28 x 14cm.
