|
Product Information
A comparatively rare black glassy rock formed of high-silica lava that cooled too rapidly for any of its atoms or ions to group into the regular structures of minerals. Valued by Native Americans, Obsidian is so high in silica that once flux is fled, no flame of torch or mineral tests can remobilize it. Ten Pack of Specimens Ideal for students to use for study and identification. Specimens range in size from 1″ x 1″ to 1″ x 2″and come in packages of ten. Display Specimens Great for lectures, demonstrations, and display. Specimens range in size from 2″ x 3″ to 3″ x 4″, and each comes in a labeled plastic tray.
