Introduce students to the world of microorganisms without bringing live cultures into your classroom. Thetacoccus is simulated bacteria consisting of polyamide/acrylic microspheres, offering the biochemical characteristics of live cultures without the hazards and storage requirements associated with bacteria. Simply use the supplied activation powder with the Thetacoccus to perform experiments such as Gram staining, biochemical testing, protease testing and coagulase testing. The kit includes enough Thetacoccus for 200 samples. Includes: Thetacoccus, media, activation powders, ethyl alcohol, iodine solution, violet stain, safranin stain, micropipets, slides and a teacher’s guide with student experiments.
