Phonetic Quizmo is designed for students at the first through third grade level. It gives
children practice in recognizing consonants, vowels, and consonant blends. Players listen to a called word and then search for phonetic components on bingo-style game boards. Phonetic Quizmo may be used as a class activity or in cooperative learning groups (2-36 players).
After playing Phonetic Quizmo students will be familiarized with basic word structure; be able to identify various vowel and consonant sounds; be able to associate certain groups of letters with their respective phonetic sounds; improve reading, writing, and verbalization skills; and look forward to more phonetic recognition practice through an enjoyable activity!
