Use this kit to show students how scientists arrived at their current understanding of how respiration and photosynthesis work. With these activities, which encourage students to take a historical approach to learning about plant anatomy and physiology, students discover the many steps required to convert sunlight to energy, a complex process that results in increased biomass for the plant.

Our hands-on, teacher-friendly kit features radish plants with a 35 day life cycle. The large seeds are easy to handle, and our flexible activity kit has a modular design that lets middle school students follow the basic experiments while high school students pursue more advanced studies. Kit contains materials for up to 40 students.

Kit includes:
Large, hardy Rapid Radish seeds
Self-watering unit and planting trays
Medium, fertilizer, and natural bristle brushes for hand-pollinating, labels, and all other necessary materials
Comprehensive teacher’s guide and student guide with activites
