Product Information
What does photography have to do with photosynthesis? A lot! When a plant is light-deprived, starch is depleted. When students re-introduce light, photosynthesis will unravel before their eyes, says biology teacher Ford Morishita. A simple slide image is projected on the leaf for an hour. After “developing” the leaf with alcohol and an iodine solution, the image appears. Kit includes five lab stations.
Includes: slide mounts, disposable Petri dishes (150 mm and 100 mm), acetate sheets, black flannel, binder clips, sodium bicarbonate, 3 x 3 plate glass, pipettes, ethanol, Lugol’s iodine, and complete instructions.
