Product Information

Your students can use this kit to study the Hill Reaction, named for the British biochemist Robin Hill, who in 1937 explained the process by which light energy is used to split molecules of water during photosynthesis. Students can perform the photolysis of water in isolated chloroplasts. Includes materials for 12 student groups — a hydrogen acceptor, the necessary reagents, 24 student data sheets and a teacher’s guide. Note: Spinach leaves, a blender, centrifuge and a cheesecloth are required but not included.
