Product Information

Study the complete life cycle of a plant in just five weeks. Students discover how to categorize organisms, identify stages of growth, and determine the effect of environmental factors on plant development and morphology. Activities guide students through the dissection of flowers and pods to learn about sexual reproduction and embryo development. Other topics covered include self-incompatibility, vegetative propagation, grafting, germination, cell division and cell elongation.

Our hands-on, teacher-friendly kit features radish plants with a 35 day life cycle. The large seeds are easy to handle, and our flexible activity kit has a modular design that lets middle school students follow the basic experiments while high school students pursue more advanced studies. Kit contains materials for up to 40 students.

Large, hardy Rapid Radish seeds
Self-watering unit and planting trays
Medium, fertilizer, and natural bristle brushes for hand-pollinating, labels, and all other necessary materials
Comprehensive teacher’s guide and student guide with activites
