Introduce junior and senior high school students to the world of microscopy with inexpensive, unbreakable microslides. Microslides consist of a strip of film with eight photomicrographs, each reproduced exactly as you would see them through a professional microscope under ideal conditions. You can supply all your students with their own microslides. A detailed text folder is included. Viewers are available separately.

More than 250 years ago a man named Anton van Leeuwenhoek looked at a drop of what he believed to be perfectly clean water from a rain-barrel through a microscope. What he saw amazed him for he had discovered a world of previously unseen strange plants and bizarre animals. Since that day thousands of different denizens of the pond have been discovered. This lesson will introduce your students to this world and its many lifeforms.
