The trick to easy success in electric field mapping is the use of conductive paper - the dry medium method that adds to the many advantages of this compact, easy-to-use and economical potential demonstrator.
Because the conduction is in the paper, your students won't have to grapple with conductive paints. The resistor value of the paper has a distribution of ± 5%, so your students will be mapping smooth field lines of the included point and parallel electrodes.
The 16 x 23 x 3 cm high unit features two magnetic rubber strips for securely holding conductive paper (3 sheets included), tracing paper (5 sheets included), and carbon paper (one sheet included).
Note: a 0-10 V, DC voltmeter and test lead probes are required to find the zero voltage positions.
